Board of Zoning Appeals – Public Notice of Public Hearing

The Village of Kirtland Hills Board of Zoning Appeals will hold a Public Hearing on Thursday, July 9 at 8:30a.m. at the Kirtland Hills Village Hall, 8026 Chillicothe Road, Kirtland Hills.

French residents have requested a variance from the Kirtland Hills Board of Zoning Appeals for the construction of a detached garage.  The variance requested is for the structure to be 1 foot from the property line and aligned with the main structure.

Per Chapter 1145.03 Minimum Yard Requirements and 1153.02(b) Accessory Structures of the Village’s Zoning Code:

                 1145.03 MINIMUM YARD REQUIREMENTS.

(b)   Side and Rear Yards. Every lot shall have side and rear yards along each lot line, the least dimension of which shall be fifty feet. No building or structure shall be erected or placed in any such required side or rear yard except for fences or walls erected in compliance with Section 1153.03. (Ord. 3-89-05. Passed 3-1-89.)

  1153.02 ACCESSORY STRUCTURES.

(c)   All accessory buildings or structures shall meet the minimum setback requirements for the main structure or building, but in no event shall the front yard setback of the accessory building or structure be less than the main or primary building or structure.

Centennial Celebration

The Centennial Celebration will be August 30, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at St. Hubert’s Episcopal Church
