The Village of Kirtland Hills operates its own full-time police department. In an emergency, dial 911. For non-emergency matters, you can call the Village Hall at 440-974-9090 or Central Dispatch at 440-354-3434. The Kirtland Hills Police Department is led by Chief Barry Hendricks, who was appointed in March 2016.  Second in command is Lieutenant Jeff Bilicic. This is a strong management team that always has the best interest of the village and its resident as their primary focus.

We continue to grow from a professional standpoint and will continue to do so through training and developing relationships with our surrounding departments.

The Kirtland Hills Police Department is serviced by three different courts in Lake County. The majority of cases are handled through the Willoughby Municipal Court. Felony cases are handled through the Lake County Common Pleas Court in Painesville. Juvenile matters are handled through the Lake County Juvenile Court in Painesville. Links to each court have been provided below. Additionally, links to the Kirtland Hills Codified Ordinances and the Ohio Revised Code have been provided.
